Are you looking to learn more about Phoenix rebates for EV charging? Look no further!

In addition to federal incentives, Arizona Public Service, the municipal electric utility for Phoenix, Arizona, offers a rebate to help consumers cover the costs of their home electric vehicle (EV) charger installation. These incentives can help offset the cost of purchasing and installing an EV charger, as well as make it easier to charge your EV at home or at work.

APS – Phoenix Rebates for EV Charging

Get savings from charging your EV – receive a $250 rebate when you purchase a qualifying Level 2 smart charger.

Find qualifying Level 2 smart chargers at APS Marketplace and purchase through any retailer.

A qualifying Level 2 smart charger can:

  • Communicate with you, your vehicle and even APS. This makes it easier to charge your vehicle when energy costs are lowest and clean energy production is at its highest.
  • Charge your EV more than six times faster than a Level 1 charger.

  2. Your EV smart charger must have been purchased with the last 12 months.
  3. Your EV smart charger must be new; refurbished or used EV smart chargers are not eligible.
  4. EV smart chargers must meet the following qualifications:
    • Level 2 charger (output from 3 kW to 20 kW)
    • Internet-connected smart charger
    • Energy Star certified

  5. See list of qualifying EV smart chargers above or visit APS Marketplace.

  • EV smart (networked) chargers provide you the ability to program your vehicle to charge when you want. If you are on a time-of-use rate plan, charging when energy costs are lowest during off-peak hours and when clean energy is more abundant on the grid, will help you save money.
  • A non-networked EV charger is not connected to the internet and therefore cannot be controlled remotely. Additionally, you are not able to program it to charge and take advantage of lower energy costs.
